The Great Experiences in Writing 1

Writing is something interesting that can express a person's idea into a sparkle and great creation. Writing Subject is one of a subject that I learn as an English education student. I studied writing 1 last semester. However, Writing 1 was not an easy subject to learn. I found many difficulties in exploring my idea. I studied Writing 1 with Mr. Saunir and Mrs. Witri, but Mrs. Witri only taught for 2 months. It would be a month until she gave her birth. So, she was replaced by Mr. Hafiz. When I studied writing 1, I felt writing was a subject that I loved to learn.

In writing, I could express the idea that came into my mind even though the idea did not come quickly. It took much time to get the inspiration. Actually, I loved studying Writing 1 but I had several problems in writing paragraph or essay. I had to imagine something to get an idea for writing in a short time. Besides that, I had to write it in the correct grammar. However, I strove to make my writing better than before.

When I studied with Mr.Saunir, the class began early in the morning. All of the students must come before seven o’clock. If the students came late even only for one minute, he or she would not be allowed to join the class. As a result, he or she could not follow the studying process at that day. Because of attendance was very important to him, Mr. Saunir was very strict about time and presences. If students came late to the class without reasonable reason, he or she would be absent. When I studied with Mr. Saunir, he asked me to make a paragraph for every topic that I was going to learn. He did not explain the materials before studying but he explained the materials after one of the students as a volunteer presented his or her paragraph in front of the class. I was very happy to show my writing essay to him because he appreciated every student who wanted to show his or her essay in front of the class.

When I studied with Mrs. Witri, it was something else. She was very careful about checking the assignments. But, she just checked some of the assignments. It was okay because she returned them to me. Therefore, I knew my ability and what needed to be increased.

After teaching for two months, Mrs. Witri was replaced by Mr. Hafiz because Mrs.Witri could not teach in my class anymore until the end of the semester because she was going to bear her baby. When I studied with Mr. Hafiz, he always explained the materials clearly for each topic in every meeting. He used interesting Power Point to explain the materials. He also asked me to make a paragraph or essay that related to the topic and he also gave a clear guidance.

These were some of my experiences in studying Writing 1 with Mr. Saunir, Mrs. Witri and Mr. Hafiz. Even though, each lecturer had their own way of teaching, I learned many worth things that were very important to be applied in order to be a good writer.
My Expectations in Writing 2 This Semester

Although Writing 2 is more challenging than Writing 1, I believe that I will be successful in studying Writing 2 and get an A. I have some hopes in studying writing 2 for this third semester.

. First, I hope I can increase and expand my writing skills because I think my writing skill is not good enough. Second, I hope I can understand the materials better. Next, I hope I can enjoy the process of studying more. I hope the class will not be boring and rigid. Furthermore, I hope I can be a more organized person; so that, I can manage the time for studying, make assignment, group work and the other things. In addition, I hope I can do well on the writing test this semester.

In sum, all of these hopes make me have to do everything better than before. I have to change the strategies in studying to increase my abilities and skills in English especially in writing. I have big expectations for Writing 2 in this semester and I believe I can increase my quality and skill.
