Movie Reviews
This was the movie about the young
girl named Hellen Keller. Helen was not born deaf, and blind. When she was
seventeen months old, she got very serious fever. So, after recovering from the
sickness, she became deaf, dumb and blind. She became wild tempered, naughty
and undisciplined child when she was six years old. Her parents, Captain Keller
and Kate Keller became increasingly troubled by Helen's wild temper. They were
unable to control her and because of their
less knowledge about how to train and educate her.
Aunt Ev suggested to write a letter to
Dr. Cisolm because he had cured some blind problem. But Dr. Cisolm can do nothing
and he recommended Dr. Alexander Bell. So because Hellen was a young child and
his parents didn’t allow to bring her out of home,
he ordered Annie Sullivan to teach and educate Helen.
And then, Annie Sullivan came and
entered to Helen’s life. Annie was certain that language was the key to get access to Helen's mind. So Annie Sullivan and
Helen Keller moved into a house not far from the Keller’s house. They began to
develop a trust and relationship of love
and respect for each other. Helen Keller began to spell the names of things on
Helen's palm. Although Helen can spell the words back on Annie's palm, the comprehension
of the words was important too. And then she began to learn many words and
touched of that things.
After spending two weeks together in
the garden house, Helen finally obeyed Annie, but when the time is up and they
returned to the Keller’s family, Helen quickly reverted to her bad behavior. The Kellers family were allow
her to do it because she was a special guest but Annie doesn't let them . When
Helen spilt a water in pitcher to Annie, Annie took her out to refill it. She
spelt "water" into Helen's hand, and suddenly Helen try to say it but
unclear and unfluently. So after that, the miracle was happened. She understood
by spelling the words on hers palm while she had restrictiveness hindrance.
The
Moral Value of this
movie is
A big desire and
empathy from Annie Sullivan to teach, train, and educate Helen to be
discipline, independent and to have a
good attitude can make Helen changed to be better than before. No matter what
difficulties we face. Everyone has challenges to reach whatever they want to
reach while they are deafness and blindness.
